Vice President and Interim Chief Financial Officer | PG&E Corporation
Chris Foster was named Vice President and Interim Chief Financial Officer for PG&E Corporation in September 2020. Foster oversees the audit, accounting, financial planning, investor relations, treasury and tax functions.
Prior to taking the interim role, Foster was Vice President, Treasury & Investor Relations, where he was responsible for managing the Corporate Development, Investor Relations, Investments and Benefits Finance, and Treasury organizations.
In 2017, Foster was Director of Integrated Grid Planning and Innovation within PG&E’s Grid Integration and Innovation team, responsible for the planning, design and execution of the company’s grid of the future. Foster led efforts to advance the company’s strategy and advance R&D pilot projects related to grid modernization and distributed energy resources, such as battery storage and electric vehicles. Previously, Foster was the Chief of Staff for PG&E’s Chairman, CEO and President, and started with the company in Washington D.C. on the Federal Affairs team.
Prior to PG&E, Foster worked at a Washington, D.C., law and consulting firm, in the energy, climate and environment practice. He also worked on Capitol Hill for a decade serving in senior roles for multiple members of Congress and congressional committees, focusing on energy and healthcare policy.
Foster graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University with a focus on political theory and constitutional democracy.
