Vice President, Major Projects and Programs, Electric Operations
Ahmad Ababneh was named Vice President of Major Projects and Programs in May 2019. In this role, Ababneh oversees all of PG&E's electric transmission and distribution major project’s design and construction; our asset inspections and maintenance programs; our longer-term grid resiliency initiatives and our system-wide vegetation management.
Since joining PG&E in 2014, Ababneh has worked in various electric operations and engineering roles. Most recently, Ababneh was Senior Director of Electric Asset Management responsible for all aspects of the electric asset strategy and investment plans and led the implementation of key Smart Grid and technology programs. Prior to joining PG&E, Ababneh served in various engineering, consulting and leadership roles for Fortune 500 companies at Florida Power and Light, Entergy, Schlumberger, and GE.
Ababneh holds a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology, a Master of electrical engineering degree from the University of New Orleans and a Master of Business Administration degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University. Ababneh is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
