Our compliance and ethics program promotes full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and high ethical standards in every business decision. Key elements of our compliance and ethics program include the following:

Code of Conduct

Our code of conduct applies to all employees. It describes our core values, which should be incorporated into every business decision. The code also lays out our conduct and conflict of interest standards and highlights key compliance topics. We also have a code of conduct for directors and a code of conduct for contractors, consultants, and suppliers.

Annual Ethics Training

Each employee participates in an annual training session that focuses on topics covered by our code of conduct. The training reinforces our core values and our commitment to full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Compliance and Ethics Helpline

The Compliance and Ethics Helpline is available to employees, contractors, consultants, and suppliers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1-888-231-2310, complianceethicshelp@pge.com or pgecorp.ethicspoint.com. Callers may contact the Helpline for guidance on conduct matters or legal and regulatory requirements. The Helpline also may be used to report situations that may require investigation, including questionable accounting or auditing matters. Callers have the option of contacting the Helpline anonymously.

Compliance Risk Assessment and Management

We periodically assess legal and regulatory compliance requirements and then develop plans to prevent violations of those requirements.

Compliance Training

We regularly provide training for our employees on compliance requirements related to their jobs. Training is provided by topic experts, through external courses, or through our on-line Compliance Education Center.

Oversight and guidance for our compliance and ethics program are provided by the Audit Committees of the Boards of Directors and senior officers of PG&E Corporation and Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
