Greg S. Pruett is Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs, for PG&E Corporation and Pacific Gas and Electric Company. Pruett is responsible for leading, aligning and integrating the full spectrum of PG&E's initiatives within state and local government relations, community relations, brand management, advertising, media relations, customer communications and internal communications.
Pruett has almost three decades of leadership experience and expertise in public affairs and communications in the energy and infrastructure field, including senior positions at Bechtel, the American Gas Association, and PG&E. He joined PG&E most recently after leading public affairs for the American Gas Association in Washington, D.C., where he was Vice President of Communications and Marketing. Prior to this assignment, Pruett served as Bechtel Corporation's Chief Public Affairs Officer in Baghdad for the company's massive Iraq Infrastructure Reconstruction Program. There, he directed all of the firm's strategic communications, public affairs and government relations efforts in support of numerous complex infrastructure projects. Pruett was previously Vice President, Corporate Communications, with PG&E, where he had served for 23 years in positions of increasing responsibility.
He holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from California State University, Fresno, and is a graduate of Harvard Business School's Program for Management Development. Pruett also serves as a member of the University of California, Merced Foundation Board of Trustees and is on the Board of Directors for the American Gas Association.
